More than 39,000 people live in the Mongalla Internally Displaced Persons’ camp; 10,000 are from the flooded village of Piol where the Buckeye Clinic began providing health care 12 years ago. As other NGOs leave the camp due to lack of funding, our Satellite Clinic has become the primary provider of care. Sustaining this care requires nearly $8,000 per month.
Our goal is to raise $100,000 beginning now and until we reach that goal in 2023. This will cover the anticipated 2023 operating expenses of $90,000 plus a little cushion for the unexpected. We will add any grant support for staff and operations to the appeal goal. Every donation large or small will help.
